The Prague Metronome Festival is a new international festival held in the centre of Prague, featuring attractive international stars combined with the best of the Czech music scene. This year it will feature acts such as STINGKASABIANESTER RADABIRTH OF JOYSOLOMUNYOUNG FATHERSGARDEN CITY MOVEMENT, or for example a fresh discovery from Kent, England, female vocalist SHELLS. The domestic scene will be represented by the likes of David Koller & Friends, Klara & The Pop, Lanugo, Monkey Business, Ewa Farna & David Dorůžka, Lenny, Thom Artway, Mayen, and others.

Last year’s premiere showed that Prague needed a large open-air festival – the Metronome Festival presented itself as an event featuring unique musical experiences against a backdrop of convenience and excellent services.

“Our advantage is that we offer attendees an urban festival with the services and convenience that only a city can provide. On the other hand, the location of the grounds, partly in the greenery of a park and partly also in an amusement park, will definitely give things that proper festival atmosphere,” says the festival’s programme director, Barbora Šubrtová. After last year’s premiere, she emphasized that the event is well-thought-out, ideally situated, and features an interesting programme – four stages hosted acts such as Iggy Pop, Foals, The Kooks, Ivan Král, or Crystal Fighters.

The Prague Metronome Festival is being held under the auspices of the Mayor of the City of Prague, Adriana Krnáčová, and the mayor of the Prague 7 city district, Jan Čižinský. The festival’s general partner is Česká spořitelna.
