The All-Star Game (ASG) or the Competition of Stars of the National Basketball League Mattoni is a traditional sport-social event, whose prestige is continuously increasing. In the year 2010 the best Czech and foreign players acting in the Czech Republic are going to meet at the Pardubice ČEZ Aréna, so at the place where BK Synthesia Pardubice have already been playing their domestic matches for several years.
“Last year the ASG was held in the USK Hall Praha in Prague and it needs to be emphasized that due to all the participating players and also the promoters it had a very high level,” highlighted the P.R. manager of this year's Competition of Stars René Peška the previous successful ASG.
“We will of course make every endeavour to link to the last year's Competition of Stars and maybe even move the level again a little higher. We suppose that the comfortable environment of the ČEZ Aréna is an ideal venue for organising similar events and we believe that all the fans and also active participants from the players and trainers have something to look forward to,” Peška added.
In the main competition, as well as in the several previous years, the selections of Czech and foreign players acting in the NBL Mattoni will participate. The traditional competitions, which are very popular at the audience, in smashing and three-point shooting will not be omitted either.
