More than 600 participants from 47 european countries are expected to take part in one of the biggest sporting event which Czech republic hosts in the year 2010.
2010 Liebherr Table Tennis Championship will take part in CEZ Arena which was finished and inaugurated in 1986. It was was completely reconstructed before the 2004 IIHF World Championship. Throughout its existence, CEZ Arena has become an important sport and cultural centre of Ostrava and regulary hosts number of sporting events like Czech team Davis Cup Matches.
The Organizing Committee in cooperation with the city of Ostrava try to prepare the best way possible championships with a budget of approximately 750 000 euro. „We are really thankfull to the city of Ostrava which supports the event very strongly," Nikolas Endal, the Chairman of 2010 Liebherr European Table Tennis Championships said.
A lot of experiences which Czech organizers have from many different events - at last from European Junior Championships in Prague 2009 - should guarantee the profesional work in a preparation of the championships in Ostrava. „We do have a great team which prepares the event and nowadays our most important role is to promote the table tennis and 2010 Liebherr European Table Tennis Championships the best way," Endal addend.
The ticket sale already started in April - via Ticketstream company: www.ticketstream.cz.
The prices are from 100 CZK (approx. 4 euro) up to 300 CZK (approx. 12 euro) for the final games. The permanent ticket for the whole 2010 Liebherr European Table Tennis Championships costs 1500 CZK (approx. 60 euro). Children up to 15 years are for free.
