Singer, unique improviser, composer and conductor Bobby McFerrin is coming back to Prague.
It will happen on the occasion of releasing his new album VOCAbuLarieS. A concert of the all-round artist, whose performances are always a celebration of an unrestrained musical talent, will take place in the Congress Centre Praha (Prague) on 5nd May. During his second visit Bobby McFerrin will present a brand-new concept of vocal art VOCAbuLarieS, in which together with a choir assembled purely for this event he enters the world of gospels, soul and funk, naturally with a large space for improvisations. The new concert project VOCAbuLarieS stems from a freshly upcoming record with the same name, which will be released next March at the label of the Universal Jazz & Classics. The author of all the compositions is McFerrin himself, but on some of them he cooperated with composer and singer Roger Treece. Local artists will perform with McFerrin also in his second visit. A common performance with the domestic choir will be preceded by an intensive preparation – the audience can thus expect a “musical site-specific”.
