Special exhibition of lights Light in Architecture 2010
This special event will be hosting selected companies from the business and is dedicated mainly to architects, construction engineers and developers from the Czech Republic.
Exhibition Light in Architecture is organized by Czech Architecture Week company, which also organizes the festival of modern and contemporary architecture Architecture Week every year in Prague and have a long time experiences with organizing similar events both in the Czech Republic and abroad.
Mánes building is a seat of the Union of Czech Artists and was built in the mid-wartimes as an example of functionalist architecture. It is situated in the center of Prague, right at the Vltava River bank (more information on the building can be found on www.nadace-cfu.cz)
The exhibition will be divided into two parts:
The first one will present renowned lighting companies from the Czech Republic and abroad in interesting expositions. It is the only event in the CR to present so many companies from this field of business.
In the second part the organizers together with selected design companies will create a model of an apartment with the total area of 250 m2. The apartment will be arranged with a special accent on lights and lighting and also with regard to the correct use of light for different human activities (reading, cooking, relaxing etc.) together with corresponding quality, efficiency and ergonomics.
