A reconstructed space in the House at a Golden Ring (Dům U Zlatého prstenu) will again liven by a permanent exposition. The authors of the conception by means of several works of the artistic generation will map the fundamental socio-cultural and economic changes, which followed in Bohemia after the year 1989.
This turning point will be presented in the exposition by works of artists, who developed their production initiated already before the year 1989, and at the same time the younger generation will be represented here, which did not enter the artistic scene until after the “Velvet” revolution. Right in the course of the nineties the Gallery of the capital city of Prague organised the key expositions (for example the Biennial of Young Art regularly held since the year 1994) and simultaneously purchased a big amount of art objects made by the personalities who were profiling themselves at that time. The authors of the permanent exposition will present their own original perspective of the after-revolutionary graphic and plastic tendencies and the contemporary history of art. An extensive guide book will be issued to accompany the exhibition.
